Clothing Swap Party

Clothing Swap Party - Thursday, May 12th 7:00 - 10:00 p.m.

Want to update your style without breaking the bank? Join Covet for our first ever Swap Shop. Go through your wardrobe - more than likely there are some items in there that just don't work for you but are still in great condition and are still stylish. Bring those with you and you'll receive tickets for each item which will be good for someone else's cast off. Clothes should be clean and in good condition. The more people who come the better the selection so bring your girlfriends! Any clothes left over will be donated to a local women's shelter or kick off our clothing consignment section. Clothes and shoes only please, no jewelry or handbags. If possible, drop off clothing before the 12th. This will give us a chance to sort before party starts.
As always, free cocktails, goodies and door prizes.

HB Woodlawn Secondary School is holding its first 5K Race on May 21, 2011 at 8:00 a.m. at Potomac Overlook Park, Arlington, Virginia. We are asking for your support so that we can provide families an opportunity to have fun together, encourage a healthy and fit lifestyle, while raising funds for a very worthy cause- H2O for Life. (www.h2oforlifeschools.org).
H2O for Life partners schools and other organizations with schools in developing nations in need of water, sanitation and hygiene education. (WASH in Schools.) Helping schools around the world! More than 1 billion people lack access to improved drinking water. We can help.

THE FACTS:

⦁ Every 20 seconds a child dies from a water-related disease.

⦁ Water related diseases are the leading cause of death for children under age 5.
⦁ Women and girls spend hours each day collecting water.
⦁ Without access to latrines, girls stop attending school once they reach puberty.
⦁ 2.5 billion People lack access to adequate sanitation.
⦁ 1 million deaths (mostly children!) occur yearly due to diarrhea.
H2O for Life supports the WASH initiative. Our goal is to help fund water, sanitation and hygiene education projects for schools in developing countries. HB Woodlawn is supporting two schools, one in Haiti and the other in Bangladesh.
Your donation is tax deductible and would be invaluable to the two schools that we are helping. Sponsors receive an array of promotional exposure with various levels of giving to accommodate your needs. We hope that you are willing to support us by sponsoring the 5K.
